Djembe Repairs, Skinning and Tuning

Ibro is available for repairing, re-skinning and re-roping djembes and dunduns. The cost is based on how much work is required for each individual drum, and you are welcome to contact Ibro for a quote. Ibro is based on the Wirral, Merseyside.

Ibro has a wealth of expertise in tuning both djembes and dunduns to bring out the best possible sound. Having your drum professionally tuned will make a considerable difference to it's sound.

Ibro has as number of djembes available for sale. Supplied by Bucara, a fair-trade partnership in Ghana, these are high quality hand-made drums that have been traditionally carved from the Tweeneboa tree (African Cedar), and skinned with goat.

Single Weave Djembes

The standard Djembe used all over Western Africa. Well-made with a big bass and sharp slap. These djembes are ideal for beginners and intermediate players.

Double Weave Djembes

Top of the range drums. Twice as much rope is used which means the drums hold their tuning really well, as well as having a great dynamic and tonal range. The weave around the top of the drum acts as a comfort curve. The relief carving is beautiful and unique to each drum.
