Testimonials

"Ibro is very friendly and welcoming. His method of teaching is such that by the end of each lesson, I really feel that I have achieved something. Ibro teaches traditional African rhythmns and I have loved them all, they leave me wanting to play more and more! Lessons feel like a little bit of Africa here in the middle of Wallasey!" Jan (student)

"After thinking I couldn't play the djembe for the past 3 years, I have now joined a special group where there is a sharing of music, culture and warmth. The drumming is part of this but it also encompasses traditional African songs, sung from the heart of Africa. The drums now talk to me! Ibro shares his life and stories with his students making the sessions even more powerful. Now I know I can play the djembe." Barb (student)

"Ibros' teaching style, patience and empathy are legend and he is probably the best djun djun player in The Gambia today. He has a deep understanding of traditional Guinean music." Drumculture, 2008
